Last weekend after 2 bright, warm, sunny days, I boldly put all of our winter coats and accessories away.  By Tuesday, we had 2-3 inches of snow on the ground.

Today I am soooooo tired of cold, windy, grey weather.  I am soooooo cranky.

So let's just pretend that it looks like this today.

There should be an Olympic medal for winter endurance.  That is, if you are able to wake up day after day after day to cold/wet/gray/snow/wind (or a combination of all of those) and make it to the end of the season without killing anyone - or yourself - certainly you should earn a reward.  I'll even take a commemorative coin.   I know I complain ( Read more... )

This winter has...how do I put this delicately??

SUCKED.

Cold, miserable, brutal, depressing....those are just words.  Words that can't even begin to descriptively assess the true misery that has been winter in Illinois.  A friend sent me a link to this article this morning, and this pretty well sums it up ( Read more... )
